Semblanza Pieza

Roland Barthes

Fragment A Lover's Discourse*

"I want to be the other, I want it to be me as if we were united, locked in the same bag of skin, clothing being just plain shell of this coalescing material from which made my imaginary lover. "

Roland Barthes

Fragments of a lover’s discourse.

As soon as I got interested in this text on the relationship, I wanted to make this happen. When we love someone deeply, sometimes we want to be him, we melt into him. This work thus leads us to imagine that we become the people we love. Fiber optic dresses are designed to accommodate more people. The same shape of the garment retains certify the trace of a relationship while inviting participation in this relationship by trying it yourself.

The object thus invites the loving intimacy of those who occupy it. Forms coincide with ours, we hug. An image can reflect what we want to be, is projected onto the dresses by three projectors. Dresses and material transport us inside the image, as if we were dressed in our desires.

This set of images is also designed to evolve with our needs. Looking at the reflections of images, there is a sense that each of the dresses on display tells her own story ... Since this idea crossed my mind, I wanted to create a work on these dresses. As each dress has a story, I would like to install all three dresses. These dresses tell different stories through the various images used. In my work, each dress fiber optic will be illuminated by different colored lights representing their different stories and these lights are going to change very slowly, as if each dress telling her story and the story evolved over time. Well put together, these dresses will be even brighter.
