Cajitas de dulces: goma de mascar, barras de azúcar quemada, cacahuates y frituras. Golosinas como la metáfora de una patria agridulce.
Es la mirada de Sol Natividad – la artífice y la averiguadora– sobre la pobreza que obliga a desplazarse, los comportamientos cotidianos y la violencia disfrazada de una sociedad –la nuestra– en un tiempo regido por la dictadura de los mercados que paulatinamente destruye el entorno y el equilibrio psíquico de la humanidad. Es la silueta del que sobrevive día tras día en la calle. Es un niño representando a los miles que recorren el país luchando por su derecho a la alimentación, a la salud y a la no discriminación.
La autora y su obra nos invitan a encontrar la grieta en el muro de la indolencia para reconocer a todos los niños en la figura de uno, a todos los migrantes en el grito de estos y a todos los excluidos del festín, en las palabras de un adolescente chiapaneco que vende dulces en Yucatán. Si bien este montaje simboliza la amargura en el rostro de una infancia fugaz que da paso a una madurez precoz, jodida e injusta, también es un ejemplo del arte como llamamiento a cambiar de ruta.

It´s Sol Natividad´s point of view, -the author and the investigator- about poverty that makes her move, the everyday behavior and the disguise violence of a society, -ours- in a time ruled by the market dictatorship that little by little destroys the surroundings and the psychic balance of humankind. Is the silhouette that survives day by day on the streets. It´s a boy represented by the thousands of people that travels the country, fighting against for their feeding and health care rights and for non discrimination.
The author and her work invite us to find the crack in the wall of the indifference to recognize all the children in the figure of one, all the immigrants and their spin off and all the ones that are excluded to the feast, in the words of a teenage of Chiapas that sells candy in Yucatán. Although this artwork symbolizes the bitterness in the face of brief childhood that steps in a premature adulthood, screw and unfair, also is an example of art as a calling for changing the path.
Semblanza biográfica
Sol Natividad nace en el puerto de Acapulco Guerrero, México; en el año de 1980. En el seno de una familia matriarcal de clase trabajadora, un entorno que influyó fuertemente en su desarrollo artístico. En el 2002 egresó de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, México; y desde entonces, se ha dedicado a crear un legado artístico fiel a un estilo personal inspirado en la cartografía postmoderna.
Sol Natividad was born in Acapulco Guerrero, Mexico; in 1980. To a working class matriarchal family, an environment that strongly influenced her artistic development. In 2002 she graduated from the Autonomous University of the Fine Arts Faculty in Querétaro, Mexico; and she has ever since been dedicated to creating an artistic legacy loyal to a personal style inspired in the postmodern cartography.
