El Museo revela el enorme espectro del arte popular mexicano, así como la tradición que se conserva viva y con todo vigor en la realidad del pueblo.

Las exposiciones del MAP ofrecen un panorama de la creatividad, imaginación, sensibilidad estética y oficio magistral de los artesanos, cuyas obras reflejan, como ninguna otra expresión artística, los distintos elementos que han intervenido en la formación de nuestra cultura. Todo ello, a través de un selecto conjunto de piezas de gran riqueza y calidad, provenientes de las valiosas colecciones que diversas instituciones y particulares pusieron generosamente a disposición del Museo.

En esta ocasión el MAP y sus artesanos participan conjuntamente en el Festival Internacional de las luces realizando intervenciones colectivas y urbanas en las calles del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México.

The Museum reveals the enormous spectrum of Mexican folk art and tradition that remains alive and strongly on people’s reality.

MAP exhibitions submit an overview of the creativity, imagination, aesthetic sensibility and mastery of craftsmen whose work reflects, like no other artistic expression, the different elements that have been involved in the formation of our culture. All this through a select group of pieces of great worthness and quality, valuable collections coming from institutions and individuals who generously donated their collections to the Museum.

This time MAP and its artisans participate together with the International Light Festival making collective and urban interventions on the streets of the Historic Center of Mexico City.
