Toto porque su primera palabra fue “Toto” queriendo pronunciar “foco”. Su infancia pasó entre la vida del viejo Zumpango y un rancho en las cercanía de éste. Después cursa la preparatoria en la ciudad de Pachuca donde por primera vez se acerca a la fotografía y al teatro, siendo estas dos disciplinas una influencia fuerte en su formación artística. Los siguientes años trabajó en publicidad y en la televisión local. Miembro fundador del proyecto Ave-Nada®, cuyo interés está en el estudio del gesto pudoroso –producto de la tensión que ocurre en el momento de la desnudez– como forma de desvelamiento de la identidad sin disfraz probable. Por último se muda a la Ciudad de México para estudiar la carrera de cine y televisión en la Universidad CENTRO de Diseño Cine y Televisión, ahí forma parte dos veces de Zona C con diferentes clientes, se expone EOS en el Platoon México 2016 y se gradúa con honores con la tesis Luisa©.

He then went to prep school in Pachuca where for the first time he was exposed to photography and theatre, being these two disciplines a strong influence in his artistic education. The following years he worked in advertising and local TV. Founding member of the Ave-Nada® project, which interest lays in the study of the bashful gesture that comes - with that tense moment of nakedness – as a way of revealing the identity without any probable disguise. Finally he moved to Mexico City to study cinema and TV in the University CENTER of design cinema and TV, there he is part twice of Zona C with different clients, EOS is exposed in the Platoon Mexico 2016 and he graduates with honors with Luisa© as his thesis.

Originario de La Cañada de Madero, pueblo del estado de Hidalgo, nací el 4 de julio de 1980. Crecí en un ambiente aislado, austero y tranquilo. Abandoné los estudios formales al no encontrar satisfacción en las opciones universitarias que busqué en Querétaro y Pachuca. Descubrí mi vocación en un viaje a Buenos Aires donde conviví con poetas, fotógrafos y músicos como Aldo Bressi, Fernando Molle, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Gonzalo Aloras, Claudia Puyó, etc. A partir de ahí, me he dedicado a desarrollar un discurso propio que se decantó hacia lo visual desde lo poético. De las palabras a las imágenes. He sido becario del Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes de Hidalgo, profesionalmente me he desempeñado como creativo independiente para distintas empresas, y he colaborado con revistas, artistas, músicos y empresas humanistas; como director de arte, creativo, fotógrafo, diseñador, escritor y asesor. He escrito e impartido conferencias en distintas universidades. He fundado empresas y proyectos de comunicación visual y artes visuales. En proyectos personales, comencé a enlazar temáticas que van desde el cuerpo, el deseo, la poética, las mitologías, el espejo, la vestimenta y los objetos; con un interés profundo por el retrato. Dentro del proyecto Ave-Nada, desarrollamos un estudio del gesto pudoroso – producto de la tensión que ocurre en el momento de la desnudez– como forma de desvelamiento de la identidad sin disfraz probable. En el proyecto Antípoda generamos abstracciones del mundo de la moda, pero sobre todo de las modelos, para reflexionar –mediante simulacros y proyectos para clientes reales– sobre la idea de la belleza a través del movimiento, la vestimenta y los distintos códigos que ha generado la cultura. Últimamente, comencé a experimentar con recursos plásticos, instalaciones, performance y spoken word. Actualmente vivo en Pachuca.
Born in La Cañada de Madero, a town on the state of Hidalgo, on July 4th 1980. Grew up in an isolated, austere and quiet environment. I quit school since I did not find any satisfaction in the college options I was looking for in Querétaro and Pachuca. I discovered my calling during a trip to Buenos Aires where I shared with poets, photographers and musicians such as Aldo Bressi, Fernando Molle, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Gonzalo Aloras, Claudia Puyó, etc. from there, I have been dedicated to developing my own discourse that went towards the visual from the poetic. From words to images. I have been a scholarship receiver of the Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes « State Fund for Culture and Arts » of Hidalgo, I have been performing professionally as an independent creative for different companies, and have collaborated with magazines, artists musicians and humanist enterprises; as an art director, creative, photographer, designer, writer and advisor. I have written and given conferences in different universities. I have funded enterprises and visual communication and visual arts projects. In personal projects, I started linking subjects that go from the body, desire, poetics, mythology, the mirror, wardrobe and objects; with a deep interest for the picture. In the project Ave- Nada, we developed a study of the bashful gesture – result of the tension that comes from the moment of nakedness – as a way of unveiling the identity without a probable disguise. In the Antípoda project we generate abstractions of the world of fashion but most of all of the models, to reflect upon – by means of drills and projects for real clients – about the idea of beauty through movement, the wardrobe and different codes generated by culture. I lately started to experiment with plastic resources, installations, performance and spoken word. I currently live in Pachuca.
