Veikko Lappalainen (nacido en 1982 en Livonsaari Finlandia) es un artista lumínico cuyo trabajo ha sido expuesto desde 2002 en Finlandia e internacionalmente llegando hasta Australia y Sudáfrica. Las instalaciones de Lappalainen con frecuencia presentan simetrías y aspectos tridimensionales creados por tecnología UV.
En el año 2002 Veikko empezó a pintar telones de fondo con pinturas activas de luz negra, también conocida como pinturas UV. Se inspiró en la geometría sagrada y el patrón principal llamado Flor de Vida, e inició creando decoración con ese nombre artístico. La primera mandala grande nació ese mismo año, 6 metros de ancho, 6 de largo.
Durante el año 2003 Veikko empezó a crear con arte de cuerda, una forma de arte donde uno utiliza cuerda/lazo delgado fluorescente para formar patrones más grandes.
En el año 2005 Flowers of Life ‘Flores de la Vida’- la compañía, nació y junto con dos amigos creó nuevas técnicas. Encontraron una forma de prácticamente, “pintar en el aire”, después de este estilo de decoración fueron hacia el estilo "holográfico". El estilo ha sido único desde el principio.
El festival de música Boom 2006 le dio al grupo un muy buen inicio y la posibilidad de mostrar su arte. Las flores de la vida obtuvieron muy buena retroalimentación de parte del público así que iniciaron su camino para convertirse en un grupo de decoración más internacional.
Entre los años 2006 y 2017 Veikko Lappalainen y su talentoso equipo Las Flores de la Vida han visitado 23 países y han hecho más de 100 proyectos de gran escala; festivales, proyectos de arte, clubes nocturnos y eventos en empresas.
Veikko Lappalainen (b. 1982) is a light artist from Finland, Livonsaari. His works have been displayed since 2002 in Finland and internationally as far away as Australia and South Africa. Lappalainen’s installations often feature symmetries and three-dimensional aspects created by UV technology.
In year 2002 Veikko started painting backdrops with blacklight active paints also known as uv paints. He was inspired by the sacred geometry and the main pattern called Flower Life, and started creating decor with that artist name. The first big mandala was born that year, 6m wide, 6 long.
During the year 2003 Veikko started creating with string arts, a way of art where one uses thin fluorescent threads/ropes to form bigger patterns.
In the year 2005 Flowers of Life-company was born and with his 2 friends they created new techniques. They found a way to practically "paint into the air", after this the decor style went into a "holographic" style. The style has been unique from the start.
Boom-music festival 2006 gave the group a very good start and possibility to show the arts. Flowers of Life got very good feedback from the public and so they started their way into more international decor group.
Between years 2006 and 2017 Veikko Lappalainen and his talented Flowers of Life -team has visited 23 countries and done more than 100 large scale projects; festivals, art projects, nightclubs and company events.
