La instalación está integrada por una serie de diferentes cactus multicolores que nos transportan a un vibrante paisaje surrealista, el cual se integra a su entorno, interactúa y establece una comunicación con el espectador capaz de transportarnos a una atmósfera cargada de fantasía.
CACTANIA rinde homenaje a los desiertos mexicanos y despierta la imaginación la cual funciona como enlace con el entorno expresando una visión tangible del artista acerca de un mundo imaginario.
The installation is made of a series of different multicolored cactus that takes us to a vibrant surrealist landscape, which integrates to the surrounding, interacts and establish a communication with the spectator, capable to transport us to an atmosphere full of fantasy.
CACTANIA homage the Mexican deserts and awakes the imagination that functions as a link with the surroundings, showing a tangible vision of the artists about an imaginary world.
Miguel Bolívar es un arquitecto, diseñador y artista plástico originario de la ciudad de Durango, realizó sus estudios en Durango, Zacatecas y el ESAM Design de París donde empezó a elaborar objetos en cartonería enfocados al diseño interior.
Desde niño ha tenido inquietudes artísticas, amante del color, se inició en el mundo del arte popular con el desfile “La noche de los Alebrijes”.
Antes que cualquier cosa se considera un creador, que constantemente aprende nuevas técnicas, siendo la última, aplicada en la realización de alebrijes luminosos con gran aceptación del público.
Miguel Bolívar is an architect, designer and plastic artist from the city of Durango, he made his studies in Durango, Zacatecas and in the ESAM Design of Paris, where he started to create objects in “cartonería” focused in Interior Design.
Since a boy he had artistic curiosity, lover of color, he started himself in the world of Popular Art with the parade “The Night of the Alebrijes”.
Before anything, he considers himself a creator, that is constantly learning new techniques, being the last one, applied in the creation of light alebrijes with great acceptance of the public.
