Estas creaciones involucran la participación ciudadana y refuerzan la identidad meridana. De la mano de Filux Lab, habitantes y estudiantes de la Ciudad de Mérida realizarán varias intervenciones de arte, incluyendo distintas técnicas manuales con materiales de la vida cotidiana, transformando el espacio de una manera lúdica y original.
Contamos también con la participación de maestros y estudiantes del Centro Cultural Wallis de la Ciudad de Mérida, los cuales nos compartirán su experiencia y mostrarán de manera didáctica cómo realizan sus obras de arte en vivo, interactuando con el público asistente.
These creations involve the city´s participation and reinforce Merida´s identity. With the guidance of Filux Lab, citizens and students of Mérida, will make several art interventions, including several hand made techniques with common life materials, transforming the space in a playful and original way.
We also count with the participation of students and professors of the Centro Cultural Wallis of Merida, which will share their experience in an educational way and how they create their art live, interacting with the participant public.

La Mesa es una instalación interactiva hecha para crear imágenes efímeras con luz y sombra. La pieza consiste de 200 objetos que conforman un rompecabezas extendido sobre una mesa donde se pueden observar distintos materiales manipulables con luz. Cuando los participantes extienden las manos para tomar los objetos del rompecabezas, una cámara detecta sus manos y transmite a dos proyectores, uno sobre la mesa que proyecta imágenes distorsionadas y otro proyector arriba de la mesa que proyecta la imagen a una superficie mayor. De esta manera las personas tienen dos frentes, el de la superficie de la mesa y la superficie proyectada frente a ellos.
The Table is an interactive installation design to create brief images with light and shadow. The artwork is made of 200 objects that form a spread out puzzle on a table where we can see several light controllable objects. When the participants reach out their hand to take objects of the puzzle, a camera detects their hands and transmits to two projectors, one over the table, that projects distorted images and the other one, above the table, that projects an image in a bigger surface. In this way, the people had to fonts, that one in the surface of the table and the surface projected in front of them.

Moyotl es un alebrije luminoso inspirado en los mosquitos. Los cuales en Durango, tierra del autor, son conocidos como moyotes, palabra que en otros lados causa gracia, sin embargo, esta viene del náhuatl Moyotl que significa mosquito.
Moyotl is a light alebrije inspired by the mosquitoes. Which in Durango, land of the author, are known as moyotes, word that is funny in other places, but, this word comes from Náhuatl Moyotl, that means mosquito.
Miguel Bolívar es un arquitecto, diseñador y artista plástico originario de la ciudad de Durango, realizó sus estudios en Durango, Zacatecas y el ESAM Design de París donde empezó a elaborar objetos en cartonería enfocados al diseño interior.
Desde niño ha tenido inquietudes artísticas, amante del color, se inició en el mundo del arte popular con el desfile “La noche de los Alebrijes”.
Antes que cualquier cosa se considera un creador, que constantemente aprende nuevas técnicas, siendo la última, aplicada en la realización de alebrijes luminosos con gran aceptación del público.
Miguel Bolívar is an architect, designer and plastic artist from the city of Durango, he made his studies in Durango, Zacatecas and in the ESAM Design of Paris, where he started to create objects in “cartonería” focused in Interior Design.
Since a boy he had artistic curiosity, lover of color, he started himself in the world of Popular Art with the parade “The Night of the Alebrijes”.
Before anything, he considers himself a creator, that is constantly learning new techniques, being the last one, applied in the creation of light alebrijes with great acceptance of the public.

La realidad nos arroja a un momento turbulento en el que pareciera que se vuelve a apostar por las fronteras y las barreras entre las personas.
No obstante, la fuerza de la posmodernidad imprime una inercia imparable en la concepción del ciudadano mundial de hoy. Un individuo que se define en la dualidad constante entre lo arbitrario y lo natural, la mente y el cuerpo.
Esta obra del mexicano Alejandro Rocha ha recorrido el mundo desde su concepción en el Festival Internacional de Poesía de Barcelona en 2012 como una alegoría de la migración humana.
Lo etéreo de la mente y de lo innato frente a la rigidez de lo impuesto, lo aprendido. Una lucha constante que no deja de ser relevante y actual a pesar del paso del tiempo.
Así el artista nos invita a reflexionar sobre nuestra realidad personal y social como individuos en movimiento e interacción constante en un mundo que se debate entre la herencia histórica de nuestras sociedades y la herencia biológica de nuestros cuerpos.
The reality throws us to a turbulent moment in which seems that everything is betting again for frontiers and barriers between people.
However, the force of the post modernism prints an unstoppable inertia of understanding in the world citizens of today. An individual that defines himself in the constant duality between arbitrary and natural, mind and body.
This artwork of the Mexican Alejandro Rocha has traveled the world since it´s conception in the International Festival of Poetry of Barcelona in 2012 like an allegory of human migration.
The eternal of the mind and the innate towards the stiffness of the imposed, the learnt. A constant fight that does not let be relevant and actual, despite of the pass of time.
This way the artist invite us to think about our personal reality and social as individuals in movement and constant interaction in the world that debates between the historic heritage of our societies and the biological heritage of our bodies.
Alejandro Rocha se desempeña actualmente como Diseñador de Producción para CREA-México, profesor en la universidad iberoamericana de la Ciudad de México y escenógrafo en Escenia Ensamble A.C. La línea conductora de sus obras es la utilización de la escenografía como irruptor de la ficción en el espacio público.

Modular es un despacho que ha creado "Sueños Vivientes", la interpretación de un dragón, el cual representa el inicio de los sueños, metas e ideales; su cuerpo es todo lo que conlleva a la realización de éstos y la cabeza engloba la proyección de nuestros logros, simbolizando la sabiduría que brota de la mente.
El fuego son todas aquellas pruebas, errores y fracasos por las que pasamos y que desechámos de nuestras vidas, pero que al final te dejan una enseñanza.
Modular is a studio that has created ¨Living Dreams¨, their interpretation of a dragon, which represents the beggining of the dreams, goals and ideals; his body is everything that implies the fullfilment of these dreams and the head implies the projection of your golas, symbolizing the wisdom that comes from the mind.
The fire is all those tests, mistakes and failiures that we go through and that we cast out of our lives, but at the end they leave us with important life lessons.

Esta obra representa un lugar utópico de serenidad y calma, en el que cualquiera pueda sentarse y admirar, en donde no sientas preocupación alguna del mundo exterior y la vida siga a tu alrededor.
This artwork represents an utopic place of calm and serenity, in which anyone can sit and admire, in which we can´t feel any concern of the external world and life can goes on around us.
Nacida en Mérida, Yucatán en mayo de 1996, estudiante de artes visuales, dedicada, entusiasta y apasionada en los proyectos artísticos culturales.
Ha viajado casi toda su vida, se ha mudado gran cantidad de veces, ha estado en diferente lugares, siempre conociendo gente nueva y muy ajena a ella, buscando pequeños lugares donde esconderse, creando espacios en los que pueda sentirse cómoda y libre.
Born in Mérida, Yucatán in May 1996, student of Visual Arts. dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate of artistic culatural projects.
Has traveled almost all her life, moved away several times, has been in different places, always knowing new peolple and very different from her; searching for small places where to hide, creating spaces in which she can feel free and comfortable.
